Familiar Faces

The past two days have been full of laughter and good times with old friends. We had our first visitors from Michigan… Julie and Colleen! (Or J-Lo and C-Lo as they often refer to themselves.)

We ate great food, did some light shopping, and explored the interesting city of Asheville in the sun and the rain. I was tickled to be able to explore with these two tourists, as I haven’t had a chance to learn my way around Asheville since arriving two short months ago. Colleen knew all the right questions to ask the locals and Julie had ambition to see the various scenes Asheville has to offer.

Smoove

Colleen seemed to feel right at home in Asheville, and Julie got a kick out of spotting the “crunchy” folks (dreadlocks, tie dye, females with armpit hair) who call Asheville home.

It was so nice to see friends who know me from way back and reconnect in a way I haven’t been able to do since moving to North Carolina. I’m certainly loving my new friends here, but there’s a certain comfort found in an old friend who already knows what you’re all about. :)

Thanks for all the laughs and memories ladies! I hope Michigan isn’t too dreary and cold when you return! :)
