Welcome to JabsLife.com
A place for friends and family to follow our adventures in simple, deliberate, debt-free living.
Since we never know where God will lead us next we're working hard to keep y'all better informed about what's going on. You might find us making deodorant, climbing a mountain, baking artisan bread, or taking week-long backpacking trips the Denali Wilderness of Alaska. Whatever we're doing, we'll try to write about it here... in a fun and personal way.
To better connect, along with writing about what's going on, we'll also use this site as motivation to shoot, organize, and share more photos of everything we do. Thanks again for stopping by, be sure to peruse the site and leave comments!Read More About Us
We both left our full-time jobs in search of a more deliberate life. Rather than work jobs we didn't like to pay for things we didn't want, we paid off our debt, sold a bunch of stuff, and created a business that allows us to work from anywhere. Our goal is to use our God-given gifts and desires to help people improve their lives. Recently Matt was struck by this quote from poet Carl Sandburg (who retired to a beautiful home just a few miles from where we now live):
I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
That pretty much sums it up. We're not sure where we're headed, but we're on our way... we just want to please God and help others along the way.
